Diabetes Treatment

Diabetes touches nearly every system in the body — metabolism, vision, kidneys, nerves, heart, and mood. Dr. Bantwal S. Baliga has been treating diabetes since 1982 and brings decades of experience and the most advanced technology to every patient who walks through our doors.

Diabetes Treatment

A complete approach, tailored to you

Whether you've been recently diagnosed or have been managing diabetes for decades, your treatment plan should reflect how diabetes shows up in your life — your work, your sleep, your meals, your goals.

We combine modern continuous glucose monitoring, insulin pump therapy, the latest medications, and one-on-one education so you can spend less time worrying about your numbers and more time living.

Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM)

Continuous glucose monitors take the guesswork out of diabetes by tracking your glucose 24/7 and showing trends in real time. Our practice was among the earliest in the country to adopt CGM technology, and we offer every major system on the market.

  • Eversense E3The only 6-month implantable CGM in the U.S. — Dr. Baliga performed the first commercial Eversense E3 implant in the country (April 2022).
  • Dexcom G6 & G7Real-time glucose with phone alerts and pump integration.
  • FreeStyle Libre 3Discreet 14-day wear sensor with a one-second scan.
  • Medtronic Guardian ConnectPredictive alerts up to 60 minutes before a high or low.

Insulin Pump Therapy

Insulin pumps deliver insulin more precisely than multiple daily injections, and modern hybrid closed-loop systems automatically adjust delivery based on CGM readings. We program, train, and support every major pump platform.

  • Medtronic 780GHybrid closed-loop with auto-correction.
  • Tandem t:slim X2Control-IQ technology paired with Dexcom.
  • Omnipod 5Tubeless, integrated automated insulin delivery.
  • VigoWearable basal-bolus delivery.

Modern medications

Diabetes medication has changed enormously in the last decade. Many patients on older regimens can now be simplified — and often improve A1C and lose weight at the same time.

  • GLP-1 receptor agonistsOzempic, Mounjaro, Trulicity, Victoza — for Type 2 diabetes and cardiometabolic risk reduction.
  • SGLT2 inhibitorsJardiance, Farxiga — for Type 2 diabetes with heart or kidney protection.
  • InsulinLong-acting (Tresiba, Toujeo, Lantus, Levemir) and rapid-acting (Humalog, Novolog, Fiasp, Lyumjev).
  • Combination therapyRight-fit combinations matched to your A1C, weight, kidney function, and lifestyle.

What to expect at your first visit

Bring any glucose meter, CGM, or pump data you have, plus a list of current medications. Plan for about 60 minutes for the first appointment. We'll review your history, run any needed labs, and walk out with a clear plan — not a stack of pamphlets.
