His journey began in Bantwal, Karnataka, India, where he earned his medical degree at Kasturba Medical College. His early experience as Chief Physician at Alvas Health Center, Moodabiri, shaped his dedication to improving healthcare in rural areas, where he set up a revolutionary snakebite center that achieved near 100% survival rates for Cobra bites.
After moving to the UK, Dr. Baliga gained valuable experience in the NHS and earned membership in the Royal College of Physicians of London (MRCP). His training in Endocrinology and Geriatrics at leading hospitals solidified his expertise, and his passion for endocrinology led him to the United States, where he completed a prestigious fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
Dr. Baliga's research interests focus on diabetes, cardiovascular health, and Alzheimer's disease prevention, emphasizing a connection between diabetes and Alzheimer's, also known as "intracranial diabetes."

Founded in 2005, East Alabama Endocrinology PC serves the local communities of Columbus, GA, Opelika, and Auburn, AL, along with satellite locations in LaGrange and Athens, GA. The practice was built on a foundation of excellence, incorporating the latest technological advancements in endocrine care.
