Devices and Procedures

The Bigfoot Unity Program includes the Bigfoot Unity System, the first-of-its-kind smart pen caps that incorporate integrated continuous glucose monitor (iCGM) data and health care provider instructions to provide insulin dose recommendations for people with diabetes who use multiple daily injections (MDI) of insulin.1

No more anxious guesswork. No more endless fingersticks+. The Bigfoot Unity Diabetes Management System is part of an entirely new, simple program designed to help you manage insulin-requiring diabetes holistically.

It’s your real-time, always-there partner, so you don’t need to do it all alone.

Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is a compact medical system that automatically and continuously tracks glucose levels at all times. We offer various continuous glucose monitoring devices, including: Freestyle Libre, Dexcom, Guardian Connect, and Eversense

An insulin pump is a small device that can help you manage your diabetes. It delivers continuous and customized doses of rapid-acting insulin 24 hours a day to match your body’s needs. The pump provides insulin to your body in two ways:

Background (BASAL) Insulin

Small amounts of insulin that are released continuously throughout the day.

Mealtime (BOLUS) Insulin

Additional insulin can be delivered on demand to match food intake or to correct high blood sugar.

We work with pumps such as: Medtronic devices, Omnipod, Tandem, and Vgo.

During a fine needle aspiration biopsy of the thyroid, a small sample of tissue is removed from the thyroid gland. The thyroid gland is located in front of the neck just above the neckline and is shaped like a butterfly, with two lobes on either side of the neck.  connected by a narrow band of tissue.

A needle biopsy (needle aspiration) uses a hollow needle to remove a tissue sample from a suspicious area for lab analysis.

TESTOPEL® is the only FDA-approved testosterone pellet available to help restore testosterone levels in men with low testosterone (Low T).

  • TESTOPEL® helps restore testosterone levels in men with Low T for 3 to 4 months, sometimes up to 6 months
  • TESTOPEL® is covered by a majority of commercial insurance plans

Procedures We Offer

The Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) is the systolic pressure at the ankle, divided by the systolic pressure at the arm. It has been shown to be a specific and sensitive metric for the diagnosis of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). Additionally, the ABI has been shown to predict mortality and adverse cardiovascular events independent of traditional CV risk factors.

An echocardiogram is a test that uses sound waves to create pictures of the heart. The picture and information it produces is more detailed than a standard x-ray image. An echocardiogram does not expose you to radiation.

The images can help them get information about:

  • the size of the heart, for instance, if there is any change in the chamber size, dilation, or thickening
  • blood clots in the heart chambers
  • fluid in the sac around the heart
  • problems with the aorta, which is the main artery connected to the heart
  • problems with the pumping function or relaxing function of the heart
  • problems with the function of heart valves
  • pressure in the heart

An echocardiogram is key in determining the health of the heart muscle, especially after a heart attack.

A carotid ultrasound is an exam that combines two types of ultrasound to look for blockages in your carotid arteries. It is simple and painless.

The carotid arteries are located along both sides of your neck. Blocked carotid arteries are a major risk factor of stroke.

An ultrasound is a type of scan that uses sound waves to produce a picture of the inside of your body. The two types of ultrasound used in a carotid ultrasound are conventional ultrasound and Doppler ultrasound.

A Renal Artery Duplex is an ultrasound test that uses high frequency
sound waves (ultrasound) to examine the renal arteries and measure
the blood flow. The renal arteries deliver blood to the kidneys.

Renal artery disease, including narrowing (stenosis) due to
atherosclerosis, can result in reduced blood-flow to the kidney. This can
cause hypertension. Renal artery stenosis is the most common
correctable cause of hypertension. Long-standing, untreated renal
artery disease is also an important factor in kidney failure.
